Research Interests:
Africa - zooarchaeology, pastoralists and ecological impacts of pastoralism
"I have worked on archaeological faunas ranging from the Middle Paleolithic of the Zagros Mountains to the Syrian Iron Age. I recently received funding for my dissertation research in South Africa, which I'll begin in January. In the meantime, I am pleased to be teaching Archy 205, Introduction to Archaeological Method and Theory. I am especially interested in pastoralism and in applications of zooarchaeology to conservation biology."
